I was not aware that the Indiana House has a bill requiring "a state or local government officeholder who has been subject to a judgment: (1) of at least $15,000 for delinquent child support payments; and (2) for more than 30 days; to be removed from office." Thanks to Masson's Blog for the tip.
I was a bit curious why we needed this legislation until I read the whole of Masson's post. After all, a person owing $15,000.00 is looking at a charge of felony non-support. A C felony, as I recall. Do read the whole of Masson's post, though.
