You signed a paternity affidavit and now you want a genetic test?

You may have waited too long to ask for a test. The Indiana Court of Appeals decided that a man signing a paternity affidavit has only 60 days after signing the affidavit to ask for a genetic test.

The same case says that if you do not ask for a genetic test within 60 days then the affidavit can only be set aside for fraud, mistake or duress.

The Indiana Law Blog has a post here on the case.
