Big box day care? A Wal-Mart for childcare?

No, this does not have anything to do with any specific Indiana law about daycare centers (although Indiana does have laws on how they are licensed), but about families and an idea. I caught this headline in the Toronto Star, 'Big-box' daycare coming to Canada. The article says the company has about 1,000 of these daycares in the United States. Am I getting too conservative when the idea of a big-box, Wal-Mart version of daycare gives me the creeps?

If the parents want to use 123 busy beaver, then that is their choice... who are we to tell them no.

By the way Canada already has a big box daycare, it's called the YMCA with over $50,000 children in their care.
