The Attorney-Client Privilege

A murder case out of Muncie, Indiana provides an extreme example of how the attorney-client protects a client. From the Muncie Star Press' Judge: Divorce papers protected in Teresa French murder case:

"Attorney Linda Clark Dague had requested a protective order after the Delaware County prosecutor’s office issued a grand jury subpoena seeking “any and all pleadings, orders, notes, tape recordings, photographs, billing statements, correspondence” and other items stemming Dague’s representation of Teresa French in the divorce case."
Mind you Teresa French was the alleged victim in this case.

The trial judge, Robert Barnet, Jr., granted the protective order.
