Madison County has its Children in the Middle seminar, other counties have similar programs. When first proposed many attorneys here questioned whether the program actually would have any effect. I think many of us still wonder about this.
For those interested in reading studies on the effectiveness of these type of programs, I found The Impact of an Educational Seminar for Divorcing Parents Results from a National Survey of Family Court Judges and Impact of Kids First Seminar for Divorcing Parents A Three-Year Follow-Up.
That these two articles are over decade old leave me wondering about their worth, but at least we know that the social scientists have been studying the issue.
